Wedding cupcakes! Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting & chocolate cupcakes with buttercream. The Gumpaste flowers are handmade and are so much fun! They really make everything special!

My nieces Sabrina & Alyssa helped out at the Farmers Market this last week, they worked really hard & did a great job!
The booth certainly attracts children who like chocolate!

Mad Hatter

July 3rd was Lily Bradley's Birthday! She decided on a Mad Hatter tea party. The party was adorable, her mother set a long table in the back yard with all the Tea Party essentials. Of course we had to make a Mad Hatter Cake!
The birthday girl, Lily & her friend Jada helped me at the kitchen with the gum paste flowers!
I think they might have had more fun with the cornstarch!

Summer time is definitely upon us.
This week marks the 5th week of having a booth at the Tahoe City Farmer's Market! So happy that we decided to do this!
The Market has been a blast! I am able to bake many different things and I am having so much fun doing it. I love baking for the Gluten Free & Vegan customers, every one should have something sweet to eat!
The Iced sugar cookies are so much fun and bring out the kid in all of us.
The booth is proving to be very popular amongst these beautiful mommies to be!

Wedding Cake tastings are so much fun! I just love it when the Bride & Groom come to taste cake. You can really get a sense of their style & a feel for what they want on their big day.
Plus those little bitty cakes are so cute and fun to make!

Last Saturday I donated two cakes to the local Tahoe City Charter School, Creek Side Charter School.
This was so much fun. They were having a special event that they call the "Souper Bowl".
Lots of people & local restaurants donate soup mainly but also salads, appetizers & lots of dessert!
The quality of food was amazing!
Lots of "raw" foods & organics! Love our healthy community.
There was art work up from the children's school year everywhere & lots of crafts & games!
This schools sense of community is very special, that's why I decided to donate some of my cakes!

ALL COMING TOGETHER NOW

With the gentle push from friends and relatives it really is all coming together now. The blog space is obviously up and running thanks to the ever swift Amber Gutry! She will soon have the web page done as well, I am very excited about this. I am so looking forward to this summer and many cakes! I cannot wait to tie on my apron and get to some serious cake making! The kitchen is definitely where I belong. I hope to hear soon from the Farmers Market, I really hope they let me in!
